Our Story

Kent J. Shipley, CPA, JD formed Kent J. Shipley, P.C. in 1992 as a trusted tax preparer and advisor to small businesses, small business owners and others. Kent’s son, Erin L. Shipley, CPA, helped part-time during most tax seasons until he joined full-time in 2008. In 2010 Michael T. Higgins, CPA brought his experience and expertise to the firm as the firm continued to grow. Christina Coldiron is the most recent addition to the group as a paralegal to assist Kent with his work as an attorney and to manage the office for the accounting and legal practices.

In 2019 the firm name was changed to Shipley CPA Group, PC to encompass the efforts and expertise brought by all of our staff members. Our firm will continue to provide high-quality tax and advisory services and will search for new ways to help its clients navigate the ever-changing business and tax environments.
